University selection, choosing courses and finally getting admission is a lengthy process for all International Students. But there is another long and even important process is applying and getting the VISA. US Student Visa process had its ups and downs in recent times. The US Visa policy for international students changes, tightens and always in news for many reasons. So the first thing I will suggest is to give you time and more time to adhere with this whole process.

According to newly arrived students and the International Student Advisers in American campuses, the time and planning is the key to follow the Visa Process. Right after you have gotten admission in University and received the I-20 or acceptance letter from your University, you can submit your Visa application in the American Embassy or Consulate in your respective country. For a complete application you need filled application form, I-20 or proof of admission in university, your bank statement or financial support document and a valid passport. Once you submit the complete application packet in the Embassy, they call you for a brief interview. That interview is very crucial, as you have to convince the visa officer in those 3 minutes, in English language, that you are only going to US for education purpose and you will not stay there forever.

So the final word on this is plan, plan and plan ahead. Be optimistic and real. Ask questions in comments part and comment as you like.
Good luck and keep watching BTH Urdu Campus.
